For over 50 years Cooinda has served the communities of Terang, Camperdown and the surrounding district providing a quality range of services to adults with a disability and their families.

Our mission is to be a builder of a socially inclusive community where people of all abilities are engaged and valued. Cooinda is a community managed disability service with local governance and is strongly connected and integrated with our community through partnership with the public, business, education and service providers that opens doors and opportunity for participation.

Our services range from in-home community based support, fully supported residential care and respite to adult training programs, community participation and lifestyle programs. The diverse range of people who use Cooinda services can choose from a quality suite of programs, and opportunities to develop skills and enhance their quality of their life.

Zero Tolerance to Abuse including Child Safe Practice

Cooinda Terang is committed to a culture of zero tolerance of abuse and the implementation of child safe practices. The care, safety and welfare of all participants, either child or adult are embedded in policies and practices which ensure a commitment to zero tolerance of abuse. Training is provided to all staff and participants are made aware of their rights to be safe. All reports will be investigated and responded to in accordance with current policy and legislation. Cooinda is committed to working with other agencies to further develop strategies to safeguard the rights of people with a disability.
