Cooinda offers Plan Management services to anyone with a NDIS Plan and funding.
Plan management can support participants by:
• managing and monitoring a participant’s budget
• managing a participant’s NDIS claims and disbursing funds to providers for services delivered
• providing regular statements to a participant to show the financial status of their plan, including
prompt notification of over or under utilisation
• offering increased choice and control to a participant over plan implementation and
utilisation through additional plan financial assistance.
Participants can also receive advice from Cooinda about how to best to utilise their NDIS plan funding which can assist in building a participant’s financial capacity and knowledge.

Support coordination is a type of support that is often included in an NDIS Plan, under the ‘Capacity building supports’ category. You may have an allocation of funding for someone to help you manage all the different supports offered to you.

Our accredited Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner will work closely with you and your family, carers and support networks to develop intervention plans and strategies that allow you to live your best life.
We can help with preparing you for school, work or other social activities, assisting in developing communication and social skills and building your mental health, flexibility and resilience.
Your NDIS Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner will work closely with your other service providers, such as an Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Physiotherapist and Exercise Physiologist, for a holistic service focused on your personal needs. Our Villas cater to a range of people of different age, gender and needs. Each Villa is managed by a Team Leader and with Residential Support Workers they provide quality care and support to each individual resident. Many residents attend the Cooinda Day Program through the day or access community programs or activities. Villa staff work closely with families, friends and carers as well to maintaining communication, connection and relationships with the community. Villa staff also assist residents to meet their health and wellbeing needs with support to access health services or appointments, administer and monitor medication and liaise with families and professionals. Residents participate fully in the day to day household operations. They meet regularly to plan everything from menus and shopping to household tasks and activities.
The Cooinda Respite program is an invaluable resource to families and carers that provides a safe, secure and homely environment for participants. Staying at Respite can be for one day or many; speak to the Team Leader about availability, cost and funding. Our staff foster a relaxing but stimulating environment for guests to participate in the daily tasks of the home and support individuals in their hygiene or health needs as well as providing activity and community access in the region. Respite promotes skill development and supports guests to learn and achieve during their stay. Cooinda participants at Respite can continue to attend programs through the day or evening. Cooinda Respite is not only for Cooinda participants; we welcome eligible people from across our region or across the state. Respite has sleep over staff and full staffing through the day whilst guests are home.
The Cooinda Day Programs strive to provide a diverse range of opportunities for participants to learn and grow. Through regular planning meetings with participants, families and carers, we provide programs that help them achieve their goals and have fulfilling and satisfying experiences. We believe that everyone can learn, grow and enjoy in a positive environment committed to people’s rights, choices and safety.
Our Community Living team operate alongside and integrated with the other Cooinda programs. It is a one to one based outreach program with staff rostered with individual participants across seven days a week.
